We thank Professor Underwood for his erudite and pertinent comments. We agree totally with his final comment, but is the situation truly unbroken? Surely the question to be debated is whether the next generation of doctors should have to struggle, as did the current one, with a system of nomenclature that Professor Underwood agrees is illogical?
